By buying a private jet with Flex Air Charters, frequent flyers can enjoy the freedom of flying around the world at a moment’s notice for business or pleasure. Private jets allow travelers to avoid commercial flight schedules and crowded airports, enabling fast and comfortable flight service when you need it. Purchasing, a jet, however, does come at a cost.

Flex Air Charters, working with a global network of affiliates, enables clients to purchase and sell private jets. Offering a complete catalog of new and pre-owned aircraft, Flex Air Charters has the local market data and know-how to facilitate aircraft purchases that meet all your professional and personal expectations.

Passenger & Weight Capacity

Firstly, private jet buyers should consider the size of the aircraft they are looking for. Private jets range from small turboprops or light jets, midsize or super-midsize jets, heavy jets or luxury executive airliners. Given that passenger capacity, as well as distances traveled, are key factors, the size of the aircraft will be important. Smaller planes tend to only fly short distances before refueling, while larger planes can be expensive to fly is distances are short.

The Right Aircraft for the Right Price

Among the aircraft available, a brand new Cessna Citation M2, a light jet that seats seven, lists at $4.5 million at base price; the Learjet 75, a midsize jet that seats nine, lists at $13.5 million; and the luxurious Gulfstream G650, a heavy jet that seats up to 10, lists at $64.5 million. There is also the 17-seat Bombardier Global 6000 that lists at $60.5 million.

Since an aircraft’s life-cycle is calculated in-flight hours rather than age, private jets tend to be serviceable for several decades. Also, buyers may choose to purchase pre-owned aircraft to save money. Used aircraft prices range from $3.5 million for a Cessna Citation M2, $7 million for a Learjet 75, $62 million for a Gulfstream G650 and $50 million for a Bombardier Global 6000.

Maintaining Your Aircraft

Buyers should also consider maintenance costs, which can ascend to several hundreds of thousands or millions of dollars a year. Brand new jets are expensive but include a full warranty to cover repairs and replacements in the first few years. Other costs for private jet owners include safety inspections, insurance, fuel, hangar space and pilot and crew salary and expenses.

Flex Air Charters works with a global network of aircraft sellers to ensure premium service and first-rate delivery of premium aircraft. Call one of our expert agents today for more information on buying your private jet, and enjoy the luxury of lying without delays or inconveniences.

Elvis Presley’s Vintage Jetstar

Sitting in an aircraft boneyard in Roswell, New Mexico for more than 35 years, Elvis Presley’s Vintage Jetstar is up for sale. After being owned by multiple private buyers, the 1962 Lockheed Jetstar is ready for a new home. It is currently being auctioned off by IronPlanet, a seller of used government surplus and heavy equipment.

The aircraft’s current owner acquired it for $430,000 just last year, according to Robb Report magazine. It’s rumored to sell for several million dollars in an auction if it’s fully restored. Elvis had his private jet fitted with stylish features like gold-plated accents, red plush carpet, and red velvet seats. If restored to its former grandeur, it would certainly bring in millions. However, due to its age and deterioration, only estimates can be given at this time. Elvis Presley’s vintage Jetstar is being sold as-is, and it is missing cockpit components and key engine pieces. The red and silver painted aircraft also needs new windows.

As the King of Rock ’n’ Roll, Elvis Presley had a fleet of three airplanes – two Jetstars and a Convair 880. The Convair 880 and the other Jetstar are currently on display at Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee. They were part of a real estate deal that went through in 2015. These two jets have been preserved over the decades and are still in the same condition as they were when Elvis used them.

Potential buyers can submit bids until July 27, 2018. The auction house does encourage interested buyers to act quickly because they believe the vintage jet will receive multiple solid offers. This may cause the auction to close early. Memorabilia associated with Elvis typically brings in sky-high prices. One of his 1960’s white gold Omega watches sold for $1.8 million back in May.

Elvis Presley was an American singer and actor with a unique flair and style. Often referred to as The King, he is highly regarded as one of the most influential cultural icons of the 20th century. He began his music career with Sun record in 1954 and had his first number one hit just two years later. He died unexpectedly from drug abuse in 1977 at his home in Memphis. Elvis’s fast climb to stardom never wavered. His music has survived well past his death, and he is still considered a musical icon. His fans have managed to keep his spirit alive over the last 35 years, and many of these fans are ecstatic to see his private jet up for grabs.

Elvis Presley’s vintage Jetstar has become somewhat of a tourist attraction in Roswell. As the home of the International UFO Museum and Research Center, this city gets its fair share of visitors. It’s no doubt that the locals will be sad to see the aircraft moved to another location if the right buyer is found. However, after three decades of loneliness, it’s time for a new owner to come forward and take care of business.
